Exercise is believed by many people to be the primary factor in weight loss. In all actuality you can work out till you puke every day and you won't lose a pound if you continue eating in a poor manner. Exercise should be seen as a tool to assist a strong nutritional program. The way we eat defines, not only how we live, but who we are and what we are, literally. There are many ways to eat properly but a good diet should be one that burns fat, keeps on muscle, and makes you feel better.

Awesome Video!

Paleo DietThe Paleo diet has become very popular among avid crossfitters and the fitness community at large. Youtube is crawling with paleo videos. This diet is not just your typical fad, but rather a powerful, industry changing movement.  Paleo, simply put, stands for the Paleolithic era. This was the time of cavemen. We live in the Neolithic era known as the era of civilization due to the creation of agriculture. No longer did we have to hunt and gather to survive.  We could grow our own food for Pete's sake! Why would we hunt if we had it at home? The human body has been evolving for 2,000,000 years and agriculture is only 10,000 years old. Our bodies can survive off of agriculture but our bodies do not thrive from it.  Even worse than agriculture is 20th century agriculture. For less than 150 years we have been altering the way we grow our food. Cows are given steroids, medicines, and other enhancement products to improve yields. Crops are sprayed with chemicals and some are even genetically modified. The 21st century has encountered health problems never before seen and they are largely due to eating processed foods. A good way to eat paleo is to remember Glassman's quote "if it has a label on it, it isn't food."

This is called chicken nugget paste.. and this is what McDonald's nuggets are made of! When you make billions of dollars you tend not to worry so much about a customer getting a little fat.

This is how you should be eating!

Our bodies are not designed to eat what we eat in 2014 and as a result we all start to pack on the pounds and wonder what we're doing different than our ancestors.
